This year is probably not the best year I ever had but I still have a lot of things to be thankful for. I am thankful that my hubby is now getting better. No thanks to his doctors, they have not been a big help, instead they cost us a lot of money and stress. I am thankful for God’s guidance. He showed us the right way. I am looking forward to his full recovery. It might take a while because the damage has already been done.
As usual, my hubby and I celebrated the Thanksgiving Day by ourselves. It is kind of normal because my relatives are half way around the world, my hubby’s kids are several hundred miles away and the relatives that do live in this area usually travel. It is lonely and sometimes I get jealous but in the end I know I have a lot to be thankful for just to have what I have. There are many people in the world who don’t even have enough to eat every day and we thank God we are able to help with what little we can.
When my hubby was younger, he never had a problem attracting women. I have his high school graduation picture on my dresser and he looked really hot in that picture. He said that his biggest problem was the kind of women that he attracted. He was married twice before I met him. He said that it took him a while to realize what was really important to establishing a truly good and long lasting relationship. Now that he is older he has become much wiser.
If you have problems attracting women, check out the linked website. There you can find helpful information and tips on how to attract women. You can find the dos and donts in attracting women. They provide five strategies that make it easier for you to become attractive to a woman. Even though my hubby and I have now been married for six years, I still want to encourage him to find more ways to make me attracted to him. In other words to be seductive towards me .
My hubby and I were on our way to my sister’s wedding in Denver when a truck suddenly cut us off on the freeway. My hubby was trying to avoid hitting it so he swerved but lost control and we ended up hitting the concrete retaining wall of a bridge and our car got totaled. We had to rent a car at the airport to make it to the wedding. On our way back home we were thinking about what kind of car we should buy. We really liked our Chrysler Concord and had been planning on keeping it for a long time so we hadn’t been thinking about what kind of car we might buy next. To make a long story short, we decided to buy an old beater Ford F-150 while we were deciding what kind of a new car we should buy.
The truck has 225,000 miles on it but seems to run fine. The only problem is that the check engine light comes on regularly and I have suggested that we should take our truck to the auto shop and have the problem fixed. My hubby said that he had experience this problem before and it was probably just an oxygen censor and is not worth fixing since we drive the truck so little. We only use it to haul logs out of the woods and the boat back and forth from the boat landing during the summer season. Other than that, we just park it in the yard.
I finally made a phone call to my mother a few days ago. She keeps asking my sister in Germany why I haven’t been calling her lately. The last time I called her was a few days after the New Year. I haven’t been making phone calls to my family in the Philippines as often as I used to because I am saving money on my long distance calls. I have been busy as well in my blogging. She hopes that it won’t take as long as the next time before I will call her. My mother just wanted to chit-chat. She wants to know what we are up to every now and then.
Someone’s birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks and I think its mine :-). I still don’t know how I am going to celebrate it. I don’t really like to celebrate my birthdays anymore because I know I am getting old. I will be turning 32 this year. I have been wanting to become a mother, be able to conceive and raise my own kids but only God knows when it is going to happen. I’ll leave that part to Him because I have no control over that. I wish good health for my family and loved ones in the Philippines and here in America, peace of mind, happiness and contentment in life. A lot of things have happened already and I am grateful that I was able to deal with them as best as I could. Despite the not so good things, I am looking forward to what the future holds.
For material things, I want nothing but a family dinner at my favorite restaurant, Super Buffet. To be able to go shopping at the best shopping store in town is a bonus. I don’t have much material things to ask for my birthday anymore because I already have most of the things that I need. Though I live thousands miles away from my family, I know they are always there for me in love and in spirit.
The Pimp My Cube Contest is an online search for the worst, most pathetic and messiest cubicle or office ever. They want people to make a humorous, messy, video of the worst or cubicle ever containing bad furniture, old technology disorganized space or anything else that would make it a terrible place to work in.
I know for a fact that my hubby could easily win that contest if it weren’t for the fact that he has a really powerful computer with a 24 inch LCD monitor. He needs that for his engineering CAD work. Otherwise his space is a disaster. I keep nagging him to clean it and organize but if he does it is back to the old mess within just a few days. Then he says “why bother to clean it up when it is going to get messy again”.
If you have a really messed up work space, you should think about making a video and submitting it. The grand prize is cube make over worth about $1200. There are three choices for your prize package:
o New high end computer system
o New Desk, Chair and Decorations
o New Entertainment Package with high end stereo, espresso machine etc.
Right now noone has uploaded a video so the chances of you winning are very good. Maybe I should give it a try after all. You should check out the PMC site and give it a try yourself. The contest runs through January 31st, 2012 so I think I will give it a try myself. If you think you can beat my hubby’s mess, you should go to the PMC site, register and upload your own video.
