My sister in-law’s dining table looks like the one shown in the picture. I don’t know if it is an amish dining table but her dining table sure looks a lot like the one in the picture. I like a double pedestal table. My dining table is a double pedestal and is already old but it is still functional. We seldom use it because most of the time when my hubby and I eat, we use the table in our living room.

My hubby is an engineer who has had his own business designing and building equipment for several manufacturing companies in the state. He was in the midst of the biggest job of his career when I first met him. He had to design and build a series of special curing racks that required different sizes of specially formed stainless steel screens that were suspended on a series of tensioned cables in each of the racks. There were many different sizes and shapes of the specially formed stainless steel screens that had to be formed in a custom designed screen forming tool. Designing the tooling to manufacture the screens was, in fact, the most challenging part of the whole project. Hydraulic crimping tools were used in assembling the tensioning cables to the frame and the screens to the cables.

My hubby and I are thinking about buying a house in the Philippines. We have found a house that we both like. It has a swimming pool but since it is in the Philippines, I don’t think we have the need for a pool heat pump because it is warm all year round there. We found this house online but we will take a look at it this coming winter.

We bought a 37 inch LCD HDTV a couple of years ago for our living room. I keep bugging my hubby that I want to put it in the bedroom and buy a bigger one for the living room. We are thinking about changing our satellite provider over to a local cable company for our TV viewing needs so we will need to get our house rewired at that time.
When we do that, we will probably buy a new TV for the living room and move the one we have to the bedroom. We have been looking at several different brands of TVs including Vizio, Sanyo and Samsung but haven’t made up our minds yet. I like the samsung TVs, especially the 70 inch one but for $11,000, we probably won’t be buying it anytime soon.

Caroline and I decided to have a housewarming party last weekend. We’ve been in our house for two months, and honestly until we decided to host a party, there was nothing warm about out house at all. There were boxes all over the house, and we hadn’t yet even put our rugs on our floors (they were just sitting in the hallway, all rolled up). The party was a good excuse to get the ball rolling, because if there’s anything that inspires us be neat, clean and organized, it’s the fact that we don’t want people to perceive us as otherwise. We honestly hadn’t even set up our televisions up until this point, we had just been spending a lot of time at friend’s house conveniently at the times our favorite shows came on. I spent one afternoon on http://www.Expertsatellite.com/ and within a few days, our television was ready to go. The television was really the catalyst in getting the rest of our house set, because we could turn it on and distract ourselves while cleaning (it made it much more bearable). The house looks great and I told Caroline that we’ll have to have a party every couple weeks so we can have some motivation to keep it this way.

I appreciate the guest post, Ignacio Phillips
People usually just assume I was a young mom and am single raising my baby but the real story is a lot sadder. My parents actually passed away in a car crash last year and I’ve been raising my baby brother who’s 4 ever since. They had named my grandparents in their will but they’re just really old and since I’m only 21 I figured it made much more sense for me to raise him than them. I’m so lucky to have had so much help and things are getting easier every day but being a single mom is definitely a lot of work. I had to make my whole house babyproof with little locks on the cabinets and a http://www.homeSECURITY101.COM alarm. I’m getting used to being responsible for someone else but this definitely made me grow up faster than I thought I would ever need to. Jase needs me though so there’s no better reason for me to settle down than to take care and help raise him into a man!

Some parts of the country have been hit really hard lately by bad weather of one sort or another. Here in the north land, we had a really cold and long winter. The spring was really cool and wet almost to the end of June. Then it turned really hot and humid. In the south and southeast, they had some of the worst tornadoes and highest death tolls in history. There was a major tornado that went through Joplin, Missouri that destroyed a large part of the town. Many people were killed and it will be a long time before that town recovers. Since then, the temperatures in that area have also soured to above 100 degrees Fahrenheit consistently.
Texas and other states in the south central US have been suffering through one of the hottest and driest spells in history. The drought there is threatening to destroy the entire Texas food crop. They have had very long spells of temperatures over 100 degrees Fahrenheit. The area of 100 plus degrees has consistently extended through the central part of the country all the way up to Minneapolis.
Air conditioning systems have been running around the clock in a large portion of the country. I sure would hate to live there and have my air conditioning system breakdown. If you have a problem with your air conditioning Harrisonville MO area, you should check out the preceding link.
